Knox Boxes

All commercial buildings and most buildings with a fire sprinkler and/or fire alarm system within East Grand Fire Protection District #4 are required to install a Knox Box. Although you may still purchase for non-sprinklered residential properties, it is not required.

Installation Requirements

  • Install no further than 10 feet from door and no higher than 6 feet off the ground.
  • Ensure that it is plainly visible with clear and easy access.
  • For any special case, your inspector might give you specific instructions.

After Your Install:

Drop your keys off! Please clearly label your key(s) with address/unit number.
