Knox Boxes

All commercial buildings and any building with a fire sprinkler and/or fire alarm system within East Grand Fire Protection District #4 are required to install a Knox Box. Although you may still purchase for non-sprinklered residential properties, it is not required.

Installation Requirements

• Install no further than 10 feet from door and no higher than 5 feet off the ground.
• Ensure that it is plainly visible with clear and easy access.
• For any special case, your inspector might give you specific instructions.

After Your Install:

Drop your keys off! Please clearly label your key(s) with address/unit number.

You may drop off either at our Headquarters Station 1 at 77601 US HWY 40 Fraser CO 80442 or Lonetree Station 3 at 911 Old Town Dr Winter Park CO 80482.
