Check the Grand County Website. Level 1 Restrictions would mean campfires are BANNED in dispersed camping areas and no open burning. Campfires would still be allowed in DESIGNATED CAMPGROUNDS with constructed agency provided fire rings. ***************************************************************************************************************** Remember even small consumer grade fireworks can cause severe burns and other injuries. NO FIREWORKS in the forests, on private property anything that blows up or leaves the ground-IS ILLEGAL. Warm dry winds with low humidity dry light fuels quickly. Streams are still up and running fast, only takes a moment to sweep away a child or adult. Lightning is a hazard and not just on the golf course! Please remain careful with fire. Campfires--limited to 3 ft. diameter and 2 ft. fuel height. AGRICULTURE BURNS: Only apply to ditch and field preparation. CHANGE YOUR BATTERIES EVERY FALL and/or have a backup mechanical thermostat. Subzero temperatures=frozen pipes---use care in thawing and watch out for burst pipes, know where your shutoffs are located. Temperature settings below 55 deg. F, pipes on outside walls, open windows, missing or damaged insulation, can cause freeze-ups and damage. Watch for neighbors or adjacent units that are fogged up or have frost on windows, gas or electric meters SHUT OFF or covered by snow and ice, or anything else that looks unusual. Slow down, watch for black ice from snow blowing across the road, drifts forming quickly, and white outs.
